João Andrade is Partner at Hacken, leading blockchain cybersecurity and regulatory initiatives across Europe and Latin America. He mined his first Bitcoin in 2012 and coded his first smart contract in 2016, building a strong full-stack foundation before moving into sales and business development within early-stage blockchain and fintech startups.

Prior to Hacken, he led Business Development at a Dubai-based RWA tokenization platform and holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NOVA University Lisbon. Today, João works with exchanges, custodians, and decentralized infrastructure providers to strengthen security, implement Proof of Reserves frameworks, and achieve standards such as CCSS certification, contributing to strengthening security for Bybit, KuCoin, OKX, and MEXC.
