Pedro Patrício is an Associate Professor with Habilitation in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Minho. 

He has served as Director of Studies for the BSc in Computer Science and for the MSc in Mathematics and Computation, the former involving extensive collaboration with industry, particularly in cryptography and machine learning. He also served as Director of the research centre CMAT – Centre of Mathematics of the University of Minho.

His research interests focus primarily on matrix theory and algebra, including their applications to the mathematical foundations of cryptography and coding theory, particularly in areas related to quantum computing, such as post-quantum cryptography and quantum error-correcting codes, in which he has supervised several graduate (MSc and PhD) students.
